	Valentinus And All True Gnostics Taught "Gnosis was distinct from the secret teachings they only revealed to initiates once they had reached a certain level of progression." If it written, or taught by man, then it is not Gnosis. What is written or taught by man, is at best, preparation for opening the mind and consecrating the body-vessel, in order to make it fit to receive Genuine Gnosis which can only be received via man's inner Soul and Spiritual Natures that are beyond the physical reality of this world. Any one who attempts to teach an historical or literal understanding or doctrine which is drawn from the scriptures, does not possess the Key of Knowledge -- and is therefore a blind guide. Outwardly, the scriptures can have as many interpretations as there are men who read them. So which is the correct interpretation? None of them!!! Once the Key of Knowledge is understood, the only correct interpretation, is the one the reader perceives when they learn to turn the scriptures within self. And this is why Jesus condemned those who attempt to interpret the scriptures outwardly: “Woe to you lawyers! For you have taken away the key of knowledge; you did not enter in yourselves, and those who were entering in you hindered” (Luke 11:52 NAS).

Paul stated that all believers must open their minds and begin to see with the eyes of the soul -- i.e., ”So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal” (2 Cor 4:18 NIV). If it is written, or taught by another, then it is at best preparing the mind for the necessary spiritual transformation that enables the disciple to receive the Divine Manna of the Kingdom which in Greek is called Gnosis. And that ”We speak of God’s secret wisdom, a wisdom that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began... as it is written: ‘No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him’ -- but God has revealed it to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God” (1 Cor 2:7-10 NIV).

Gnosticism is embodied in the words of the Gospel of Thomas: "But if you will not know yourselves, you dwell in poverty and it is you who are that poverty... Whoever finds himself is superior to the world" (see http://DivineManna.org ). Jesus taught that we are all brothers and sisters -- and all of us are equally the Divine Offspring of our Heavenly Father -- and all of us who follow in his footsteps as the Pattern of Perfection, will both know what he knew, and be able to do even greater works than he did. And we can't accomplish this through blind belief in the doctrines of men -- but rather, through our own development and growth to spiritual maturity.

Historically, Valentinus is known as the Gnostic that was almost the leader of the second century Church. In the article on Christian Mysticism, the Encyclopedia Britannica writes regarding Valentinus, who was considered orthodox in the beginning of the second century, and states: “He believed that human beings are alienated from God because of their spiritual ignorance; Christ brings them into the gnosis (esoteric revelatory knowledge) that is union with God. Valentinus held that all human beings come from God and that all will in the end return to God. Other Gnostic groups held that there were three types of people -- 'spiritual,' 'psychic,' and 'material' -- and that only the first two can be saved. The Pistis Sophia… is preoccupied with the question of who finally will be saved. Those who are saved must renounce the world completely and follow the pure ethic of love and compassion. They will then be identified with Jesus and become rays of the divine Light”.

Once properly understood, what Valentinus was in fact stating was no different than what was also clearly stated by the early church authorities, Paul, Jesus, and the present-day Canon of Scriptures itself: That there are three types of Christians -- i.e., the spiritual which are in union with God, and are saved; the psychic, or disciple in search of the Truth, which are still walking in The Way; and the material or physical, who are the people of the simple faith. The mysteries made reference to in Pistis Sohpia that, according to the Jesus presented in this gospel states a person must the possess the sacred Knowledge of the Kingdom in order to be saved, is the knowledge of the laws that both preserve the natural barriers of this realm, as well as restrict carnal man's access into the spiritual realms and the Kingdom. When the disciple knows the workings of these natural laws of Creation, they are then able to safely transcend the barriers between this and the other worlds, and come into the presence of the Spiritual Christ.

Once we understand this important element in Paul's Epistles, we then begin to comprehend why Paul considered it one of the greatest of sins to promote a doctrine of belief -- as seen in the words: “Reject a factious man after a first and second warning, knowing that such a man is perverted and is sinning, being self-condemned” (Titus 3:10-11 NAS). The essence of what Paul taught was that believers were to rid themselves of all worldly thoughts and desires in order to embrace the indwelling Logos -- thereby becoming an Anointed One, or genuine Christian. From Paul's perspective, beliefs and doctrines pertaining to mysteries that are beyond the comprehension of the natural man, were thorns and entanglements that the god of this world used to imprison the believer.

The True Prophet

When Valentinus, perhaps the most recognized Gnostic, stated that the vast majority of people cannot achieve salvation or permanence, let me pose the question: Is this because they are ignorant of historical people such as Mary Magdalene? In the Gospel of Light which is attributed to him, there is not even one mention of Mary -- or any other historical person -- making reference to Jesus as having come to teach men how to receive the Sacred Gnosis of the Inner Kingdom. Has those modern pseudo-neo-Gnostics who promote the cult of the worship of Mary Magdalene ever asked the question: What knowledge of even the most secret historical account, would bestow upon the hearer eternal life? Valentinus stated that the people of this world cannot achieve salvation, because they are imbued with "hyleticism" -- which is the worship of the material. Even among seekers, salvation could not be achieved, because they are imbued with "psychism" -- which he portrayed as the sickness of abstract intellectualism and moralizing. The word abstract is of great importance, because it denotes theoretical and non-experiential knowledge from direct Inner Sources. Only through the "pneuma" -- i.e., the knowledge of one's own inner soul and spiritual nature, can one achieve salvation and permanence. And from a purely Christian perspective, if you do as Jesus Commanded -- live the life he ordained, and embrace the mindset of in the world and not of it -- then you will be able to receive the Divine Gnosis of the Inner Kingdom. Thus, speaking of this inner source of Gnosis, Peter speaks of the True Prophet, and proclaims to his disciple Clement in the Homilies: “Hence, O beloved Clement, if you would know the things pertaining to God, you have to learn them from Him alone, because He alone knows the truth. For if any one else knows anything, he has received it from Him or from His disciples”.

The True Source of Gnosis can be demonstrated using the first century witness known as the Recognitions of Clement, where St. Clement quotes the teachings of the Apostle Peter. In chapter 59, under the heading of The True Prophet, Clement writes: “But I would not have you think, that in saying this I take away the power of judging concerning things; but I give counsel that no one walk through devious places, and rush into errors without end. And therefore I advise not only wise men, but indeed all men who have a desire of knowing what is advantageous to them, that they seek after the true Prophet; for it is He alone who knoweth all things, and who knoweth what and how every man is seeking. For He is within the mind of every one of us, but in those who have no desire of the knowledge of God and His righteousness, He is inoperative; but He works in those who seek after that which is profitable to their souls, and kindles in them the light of knowledge. Wherefore seek Him first of all; and if you do not find Him, expect not that you shall learn anything from any other. But He is soon found by those who diligently seek Him through love of the truth, and whose souls are not taken possession of by wickedness. For He is present with those who desire Him in the innocence of their spirits, who bear patiently, and draw sighs from the bottom of their hearts through love of the truth; but He deserts malevolent minds, because as a prophet He knows the thoughts of every one. And therefore let no one think that he can find Him by his own wisdom, unless, as we have said, he empty his mind of all wickedness, and conceive a pure and faithful desire to know Him. For when any one has so prepared himself, He Himself as a prophet, seeing a mind prepared for Him, of His own accord offers Himself to his knowledge”.

What does Peter say to us in these words? That the True Prophet “is within the mind of every one of us”. This concept is Spiritual -- and is the foundation of the Living Church that the Lord inaugurated. Jesus warned his followers not to go to a teacher or religious authority in this world -- even when that teacher or authority says that he knows the Messiah/Christ. What is very clear in these words which are parallel and in harmony with the Bible, is the followers of Jesus were not to learn from men -- who themselves do not know -- and in true Spiritual-Gnostic fashion, they were only to go to the Source of all Knowledge, the True Prophet -- and ALL SCRIPTURES deal with nothing other than the wisdom and knowledge of how to access the True Prophet within the mind and being of the True Seeker who is striving to receive the Divine Manna/Gnosis. And a true shepherd and guide, conveys to others what they must do in their lives to learn from the True Prophet.

Fundamentally, every person who was taught directly by Jesus held a common belief of a “supernatural union of a man and a God; and this mystic doctrine was adopted with many fanciful improvements by Carpocrates, Basilides, and Valentine... In their eyes, Jesus of Nazareth was a mere mortal, the legitimate son of Joseph and Mary: but he was the best and wisest of the human race, selected as the worthy instrument to restore upon earth the worship of the true and supreme Deity. When he was baptized in the Jordan, the Christ, the first of the aeons, the Son of God himself, descended on Jesus in the form of a dove, to inhabit his mind, and direct his actions during the allotted period of his ministry” (Gibbon; The Decline & Fall of the Roman Empire, V.4, P.366). This belief -- that “the Christ, the first of the aeons, the Son of God himself, descended on Jesus in the form of a dove, to inhabit his mind, and direct his actions during the allotted period of his ministry”, is simply not understood by the carnal mind of natural man -- as is very clearly stated in the Bible itself. This union with the indwelling True Prophet, is the objective of the teachings of Jesus and TheWay.

The Apostle Paul wrote that the baptized believers at Corinth did not know the Gospel of God, and could not receive the gnosis and be taught the Mysteries and true Christian teachings, because they were too carnal to receive them. This great dilemma that Paul wrote about -- and has been continually ignored by the majority of Christians and pseudo-Gnostics throughout history -- was explained by Peter when his disciple Clement wrote his warning to believers: “…and if you do not find Him, expect not that you shall learn anything from any other”.

From a first century Christian perspective, there is only one way that you can learn and know the truth, and that is through your own dormant spiritual nature. “Expect not that you shall learn anything”, says Peter, if you attempt to learn from the doctrines of men -- even when these men are the leaders of your church, synagogue, mosque, or temple. Why? Because Jesus himself commanded: “But you, do not be called 'Rabbi'; for One is your Teacher, the Christ, and you are all brethren” (Matt 23:8 NKJ). Therefore, whoever will teach you -- except by example and the manifestation of the Light in their own lives -- from the perspective of the New Covenant, is a disciple of the anti-christ.

Peter embodies the very essence of the genuine teachings of The Way in the words: “But He is soon found by those who diligently seek Him through love of the truth, and whose souls are not taken possession of by wickedness. For He is present with those who desire Him in the innocence of their spirits, who bear patiently, and draw sighs from the bottom of their hearts through love of the truth”. Thus, where the Christian must seek this inner Truth over their doctrines of the Jesus-god of Constantine and the Church, the true Gnostic would never become entangled in the worship of the Mary Magdalene goddess worship of the pseudo-Gnostics who promote the fallacy of the Da Vinci Code and the Jesus Papers. Yet, it is of the utmost importance to understand what both Jesus and Mary represents within the pattern of our own mind and being in your search for the Inner Gnosis.

Yeshua/Jesus became One with the Logos within him -- and this Logos is equally within each of us. In the Valentinian system, those few who had the capacity to bring about spiritual transformation were called "pneumatics" -- and thus, were prepared to receive Gnosis which would bring about their liberation from the ignorance of this world, and permit them to attain permanence. The vast majority of people Valentinus portrayed as earthbound and materialistic beings -- i.e., "hyletics", who recognize only the physical reality. Others live largely in their psyche -- i.e., "psychics", and such people usually mistake the Demiurge for the True God and have little or no awareness of the spiritual world beyond matter and mind. And in the same way that the Pharisees worshiped a Demiurge of their own making, the modern pseudo-Gnostics have created, and are worshiping, the Demiurge Mary Magdalene. And this is true of all people who attempt to seek, without striving to bring about the marriage of the physical and spiritual, in order that the third-force of soul/mind can evolve and grow to maturity.

In the Gospel of Philip it is stated: "God created mankind and men created the god(s). This is how it is in the world. The men create god(s) and they worship their creations." Because the modern neo-Gnostics no longer possess the Knowledge of Self -- and cannot receive the inner Divine Gnosis, they have created a god by the name of Mary Magdalene -- i.e., their Demiurge -- and they worship her -- in a similar manner that the Jews have been portrayed as worshiping the golden calf. And instead of preparing the body-vessel to receive the Divine Manna by making it a Consecrated Temple -- enabling you, as the High Priest, to enter within the Holy of Holies -- and seeking the Knowledge of Self -- and, from a scriptural perspective, seeking the wisdom of what the allegorical personage of Mary Magdalene represents within their own mind and being -- they have externalized her, and have themselves become imbued with "hyleticism".

Where even those who begin to understand the blueprint of the mind get taken off track, is because they lack the knowledge of the inner cosmology of self. Where man is threefold -- the three natures are divided across a spectrum of inner dimensions and levels of being. Yet, because of the holographic nature of Creation, you will also find within the physical, the three natures represented. Thus, of the Valentinus system Irenaeus wrote: "Perfect redemption is the cognition itself of the ineffable greatness: for since through ignorance came about the defect . . . the whole system springing from ignorance is dissolved in Gnosis. Therefore Gnosis is the redemption of the inner man; and it is not of the body, for the body is corruptible; nor is it psychical, for even the soul [mind] is a product of the defect and it is a lodging to the spirit: pneumatic (spiritual) therefore also must be redemption itself. Through Gnosis, then, is redeemed the inner, spiritual man: so that to us suffices the Gnosis of universal being: and this is the true redemption."

In the threefold nature of the physical self, soul is represented in the mind -- and is the third-force product of the physical-physical, and the physical-spiritual -- and without the marriage of the two, the physical-soul or mind remains shrouded in darkness and ignorance. There is no knowledge of historical events, historical people, that can bring about the marriage of physical-body with physical-spirit -- which would evolve the physical-soul/mind and begin to prepare the threefold physical to break through the limitations of this world, and the inner barrier of the physical self, and access the Gnosis of our inner soul and spiritual natures. Yet, in order to preserve the knowledge for future generations, the authors of the Gnostic scriptures encoded a blueprint of the mind within the allegory of what appears as historical personages. And in the same way that the Ebionites did not give the most secret and original Gospels into the hands of the Gentiles -- who for the most part were all carnal, heathen and hyletic -- but the Gnostic Adepts kept these more sacred scriptures from the hyletics who would corrupt them, and even destroy them. But like the Gospels themselves, these Gnostic scriptures did not speak of historical accounts -- but rather, preserved the knowledge of the blueprint of the mind that enabled true seekers in the future to make the three natures in the physical one, and begin to access the Divine Gnosis of the Soul-Self -- who is the Being of Light in the Near Death Experience (see http://BeingOfLight.com ). As stated by G.R.S. Mead in his authorative work entitled Fragments of a Faith Forgotten, this explanation is put forth: "…what the Gnostics projected onto the screen… [in the form of a ] picture of the universe was in reality a picture of their own minds. Its mythology is a symbolic portrayal, almost a deliberate one, of the forces which operate in the structuring and evolution of the human personality." Thus, a true Gnostic would seek the wisdom of what Mary Magdalene represents in the blueprint and cosmology of their own mind and being. But, because the people in our present time are consumed with the worship of materialism, and theoretical abstract philosophy that is not founded upon the proper blueprint of the mind and the inner cosmology of self, the people who call themselves Gnostic, are as lost as the hyletics. And in the worship of their Demiurge, Mary Magdalene, they have thrown away the Key of Knowledge in the same exact manner that the Pharisees did -- i.e., “Woe to you lawyers! For you have taken away the key of knowledge; you did not enter in yourselves, and those who were entering in you hindered” (Luke 11:52 NAS). In reading only what Paul called the "letter that killeth" with respect to the allegory of the written word which is only the physical vessel necessary to preserve the knowledge of the blueprint of the mind which the seeker needs to obtain the Divine Manna/Gnosis of the Inner Kingdom, those who call themselves Gnostics, are no different than the Christian Fundamentalists they oppose.

“Now the whole world had one language and a common speech… But the LORD came down to see the city and the tower that the men were building. The LORD said, ‘If as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them. Come, let us go down and confuse their language so they will not understand each other’” (Gen 11:1-7 NIV). Until you come to understand the deeper meaning of the account of the Tower of Babel, you will continue to dwell under the illusion of Divine Strategery which will limit your perception and through the workings of the Laws greatly suppress your understanding. Men and women speak a different language where they remain ignorant of the fact that they each bring alternate realities to the equation of gender harmony and conflict. The races manifest different and sometimes incompatible areas of mind as expressed through the pattern of the Tree of Life. There is the possibility of 144,000 fragments of mind from which stems a language and understanding unique to it's own sphere of perception and comprehension. And this quagmire of massive division and state of confusion is brought about by the Laws of God, that few organic people of this world are able to understand.

The Key

To The Tower Of Babel Dilemma

In the allegorical drama presented, the flaw in the thinking of the people -- and this flaw is observed in the thinking of all people of an organic mindset -- is seen in the attempt to build the tower that reaches into the Heavens using only the earthly matter of this world. The Key to the Dilemma is in the phrase: “...they are one people, and they have all one language; and this is only the beginning of what they will do; and nothing that they propose to do will now be impossible for them” (Gen 11:6 RSV). Thus, the key is found in the ONENESS that permits a person to accomplish all things -- "...and nothing that they propose to do will now be impossible for them”!!! But how to achieve this Oneness, is not something that is easily understood. Moreover, in the same way that the outer world is a place of confusion and conflict -- many languages that express reality differently -- many factions that attempt to silence and prevail against all others -- what most people fail to recognize is the fact that what exists without us, also exists within us -- and it is only our own inability to perceive the reality of self in Wholeness, that shelters us from the true quagmire of our own mind and being.

Plato, the Greek philosopher, wrote a series of `Dialogues' which summarized many of the things which he had learned from his teacher, who was the philosopher Socrates. One of the most famous of these Dialogues is the Allegory of the Cave. In this allegory, people are chained in a cave so that they can only see the shadows which are cast on the walls of the cave by a fire. Plato likens people of a natural organic mindset who can see only with the earth-bound senses of this world, and think only with the very limited natural mind, as prisoners who are chained in a cave, unable to turn their heads. All they can see is the wall of the cave. Behind them burns a fire. Between the fire and the prisoners there is a parapet, along which puppeteers can walk. The puppeteers, who are behind the prisoners, hold up puppets that cast shadows on the wall of the cave. The prisoners are unable to see these puppets, the real objects, that pass behind them. What the prisoners see and hear are shadows and echoes cast by objects that they do not see.

Because they are unable to see the source of reality, the prisoners mistake appearance of the shadows cast on the wall of the cave for reality. They think the things they see on the wall (the shadows) were real -- and they know absolutely nothing of the real causes of the shadows. So when the prisoners talk, what is it that they are talking about? About the shadows that have been cast upon the wall of the cave. If an object is carried past behind them, and it casts a shadow on the wall, and a prisoner says "I see that" what is he talking about? While the prisoner thinks he is talking about something real and tangible, he fails to perceive that what he senses is the shadow that has been cast upon the wall of illusion.

It is noted that the whole of the language of man makes reference to the shadowy symbols, which they assume are real. Plato's point: the general terms of our language are not "names" of the physical objects that we can see. They are actually names of things that we cannot see, things that we can only grasp with the mind. The prisoners may learn what a book is by their experience with shadows of books. But they would be mistaken if they thought that the word "book" refers to something that any of them has ever seen. Likewise, we may acquire concepts by our perceptual experience of physical objects. But we would be mistaken if we thought that the concepts that we grasp were on the same level as the things we perceive. Intellectuals ascribe to their wisdom in their books -- religious people place great faith in their scriptures -- yet, the books and scriptures of this world are nothing more than shadows of books of wisdom, and shadows of the Living Word that man must seek to Know the Truth.

To these people, the shadows represent the totality of their existence -- and it is impossible for them to imagine a reality which consists of anything beyond the fuzzy shadows on the wall. Those who seek the Knowledge of what is Real, rather than the illusion of the shadow, are those who were prisoners, and have escaped the limitations of the intellectual cave that shackles the great majority of mankind in the abyss of ignorance. The Knowledge acquired by those who succeed in breaking the shackles of physical limitation -- i.e., the Sacred Manna or Gnosis -- is the Experiential Wisdom and Knowledge they learn when they go out of the cave of this world via an inner dimension of self that is unknown to the masses and their religious, intellectual, cultural and political leaders, and into the inner reality which is portrayed by Plato as the light of the sun, where they are then able to gaze upon and behold man's true reality -- the reality of self expressed in the words of the Gospel of Thomas: "But if you will not know yourselves, you dwell in poverty and it is you who are that poverty... Whoever finds himself is superior to the world." And upon escaping from the intellectual cave that shackles mankind, when they try to go back into the cave and tell the other captives the truth, they are mocked as madmen. This fact you can observe throughout the history of man, as well as in the present time. We are all initially prisoners and this tangible world that we perceive as physical reality is our cave. And while the spiritual path of the Disciple in search of the Spiritual Manna/Gnosis of Higher Truth, begins when one who was a prisoner escapes out into the sun, this is in effect only the beginning of the journey as the mature soul begins to amass Gnosis, which is purely spiritual knowledge gained as they ascend into the true Light of true reality. What is equally interesting is the literal interpretation of Plato's tale: The idea that reality could be represented completely as "shadows" on the walls. Reality exists in another dimension beyond our vision, but we are so hypnotized by the world of shadows, that we fail to perceive the inner reality that is the source of everything in the life that we live.

Organic Man Dwells In Absolute Confusion

Because the body-vessel only permits those areas of the mind that relate to the narrow physical spectrum of this world to manifest, the vast majority of people in the world are clueless as to their own inner reality -- that they are an embryonic image of their soul-self -- and that the Kingdom of God is within them ( http://GateOfEden.com ). In Gnostic terms, they dwell under the power and control of the Demiurge of this world -- which is portrayed in the NT as the citizen of the "far country" in the parable of the prodigal son -- and being under the control of the god of this world, they are made alien to their own true self, and totally spiritually disenfranchised from their own inner reality and the Kingdom. To these people, you live and you find out the truth when you physically die. But from a Gnostic perspective, they are already dead, because they function in what the scriptures calls the "outer darkness" of consciousness and being. And when the scriptures say that the dead know nothing, it is making reference to these people who are often portrayed in this forum as carnal, and of a natural organic mind. Like Valentinus, Gurdjieff portrayed them as nature people -- their consciousness was very much limited to that of the earth -- they are very much temporal -- and have no real permanence beyond this present life they are living (see http://ebionite.com/reincarnation.htm#xfiles ). And this same reality was portrayed by Jesus in the words: "Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it." (Matt 7:13-14 NKJ)

The masses of people -- i.e., the (spiritually) dead who know nothing because they are soul and spiritually disenfranchised -- are those who are walking down the broad-way, and they are overwhelmed with opinions, ideas, carnal philosophies and manmade doctrines of belief that possess no relevance to Truth, because these people who dwell under the control of the god of this world, remain totally ignorant of their inner soul and spiritual realities. They are under the grave misconception that no one really knows the truth, and they will find out when they die. But Jesus did not say that if you believe in him, and follow in his footsteps, that you will find out the truth when you die -- he said, that you will achieve the next stage of soul-birth, and never die (see http://ebionite.com/reincarnation.htm#birth ). And this reality is very much revealed in the Gospel of Philip in the words: "Those who say that first they shall die and (then) they shall arise are confused. If they do not first receive the resurrection (while) they live,¹ they will not receive anything (when) they die" (see http://DivineManna.org ). And without the Gnosis -- or the Divine Knowledge of the Inner Kingdom, you cannot attain to the next stage of birth and in the words of the Gospel of Thomas, Know Thyself: "But if you will not know yourselves, you dwell in poverty and it is you who are that poverty... Whoever finds himself is superior to the world." The result is that those who are portrayed as (spiritually) dead and know nothing because they dwell under the illusion of the god of this world (see http://DivineStrategery.com#Plato ), are bound by their overwhelming misconceptions and pseudo-knowledge which they embrace instead of Gnosis -- which can only be received by those who overcome the inner barrier of division, and receive the Divine Manna/Gnosis of the Inner Kingdom -- and being lost and under the control of the god of this world, they look at the scriptures and all of life in a literal and historical sense.

The Nature Of Scripture

Perhaps a very clear picture of both the true nature of the scriptures, and what represents Original Christianity over the first three centuries can be seen under the heading of Alexandria in the Encyclopedia of Religion and Ethics - under Alexandrian Theology, where it states of Origen's teachings: “Origen believes that the Logos enlightens all men according to their capacities. Current Christianity is the best that the average man can assimilate. It includes mythical stories which exist both in Old Testament and New Testament; it offers rewards and punishment as inducements to virtue, and communicates truths in veiled forms and images. But it is not a matter of indifference what symbols are presented to the 'common man'; it is the religion of Christ alone which must be accepted by all, though under different aspects. The Gnostic learns that the objects of religious knowledge have only a supramundane history: The 'eternal' or 'spiritual' Gospel places clearly before men's minds all things concerning the Son of God, both the mysteries shown by His words, and the things of which His acts were the riddles” (In John 1:9).

Why would the Church Father Origen state of the scriptures that it contains mythical stories? The inner meaning of the scriptures are encoded with the knowledge of the Laws and the elementary wisdom necessary to begin to walk in TheWay, and escape the illusion of this world. All scriptures are composed by spiritually enlightened souls who create accounts in the same exact Divine Pattern and DNA with which all of Creation is imbued. In the same way that you have a threefold nature -- and your body is only the vessel of your soul and spiritual natures that you use when you sojourn in this realm -- and this is also true of all of Creation -- the authors of the scriptures create their sacred writings in accord with the same exact Divine Pattern. What is portrayed in the body of the text, is only the means of manifesting the inner Sacred Wisdom among a spiritually unaware and ignorant people who are the prodigal sons/daughters who are lost in this, the "far country... outer darkness" of consciousness and being. And in this respect, the New Testament is not history -- and what is portrayed as historical accounts, is in reality the necessary events of body, mind/soul and spirit that must be brought about in the transformation of the Disciple of TheWay as they strive to receive the Sacred Manna (Gnosis) of the Inner Kingdom, and bring about the next stage of soul-birth which will provide them the promise of permanence. If you want history, read Josephus, or some of the accounts by Philo -- Edward Gibbon, and others. But the scriptures only appear to be history on the surface, so they will be preserved by the ignorant for future generations of seekers (prodigal sons/daughters who are prepared to return to the Edenic Kingdom of Origination ( http://GateOfEden.com ).

There is no difference between the inner soul and spiritual meaning of the Torah, than the New Testament. In like manner, the inner meaning of what you call the Gnostic Scriptures, presents the same exact truths as does the inner meaning of the Torah. And this is why the Jewish Mystic warns the people who read only the literal words of the Torah: "Thus the tales related in the Torah are simply her outer garments, and woe to the man who regards that outer garb as the Torah itself, for such a man will be deprived of portion in the next world" (see http://ebionite.com/Torah ). Why? Because the True Spiritual Torah is manifest in the soul and spirit that is beyond the perception of the carnal Jews -- and thus the title of this article: No Jew Has Read The Torah. Why? Because, in order to possess the eyes to see, and the perception to understand, the reader will have to go beyond what is symbolized in the carnal limitations of the term Jew, and they will have to become Spiritual Israel. And in your terminology, they MUST become Gnostic and receive the Divine Manna that allegorically the Jews could not, because they worship the golden cow (materialism).

Those who truly possess the eyes to see, are the few who understand that all of life in this world is a Living Scripture -- i.e., an illusion that is an allusion -- which is the consciousness of man impressed into the lower three kingdoms which we call nature. Thus, quoting an abstract of the Essene Gospel of Peace in one of the articles you say you read

Read them to us from there where you see them, for we know nothing else but the scriptures which we have inherited from our forefathers. Tell us the laws of which you speak, that hearing them we may be healed and justified."

Jesus said: "You do not understand the words of life, because you are in death. Darkness darkens your eyes and your ears are stopped with deafness. For I tell you, it profits you not at all that you pore over dead scriptures if by your deeds you deny him who has given you the scriptures.

I tell you truly, God and his laws are not in that which you do. They are not in gluttony and in wine-bibbing, neither in riotous living, nor in lustfulness, nor in seeking after riches, nor yet in hatred of your enemies. For all these things are far from the true God and from his angels. But all these things come from the kingdom of darkness and the lord of all evils. And all these things do you carry in yourselves; and so the word and the power of God enter not into you, because all manner of evil and all manner of abominations have their dwelling in your body and your spirit. If you will that the living God's word and his power may enter you, defile not your body and your spirit; for the body is the temple of the spirit, and the spirit is the temple of God. Purify, therefore, the temple, that the Lord of the temple may dwell therein and occupy a place that is worthy of him.

"And from all temptations of your body and your spirit, coming from Satan, withdraw beneath the shadow of God's heaven.

The true Gnostic does not need scriptures. He uses scriptures during that stage of his seeking when he is spiritually blind -- and by turning the scriptures within himself as the Key of Knowledge (see http://gospelofthomas.nazirene.org/#scriptures ) -- all of life becomes a Living Scripture that reveals to him not only his own true soul-self, but all the Mysteries of God that the carnal men of this world cannot even begin to comprehend.

In the recently discovered Gospel of Thomas it is written: (12) The disciples said to Jesus, "We know that you will depart from us. Who is to be our leader?" Jesus said to them, "Wherever you are, you are to go to James the righteous, for whose sake heaven and earth came into being." So to once again restore the teachings of TheWay which is today known as Christianity, the Lord has sent Jacob/James, the Brother of Yeshua/Jesus, back into the world in order to guide the faithful flock into the Truth, the Light, and the Kingdom within (Luke 17:20-21). It is there that my brother Yeshua/Jesus awaits you.

The above warning with respect to the predicted corruption of Yeshua's teachings is further stated in the first century writings known today as the Clementine Recognitions where it is written: "Our Lord and Prophet, who hath sent us, declared to us that the wicked one, having disputed with Him forty days, and having prevailed nothing against Him, promised that he would send apostles from amongst his subjects, to deceive. Wherefore, above all, remember to shun apostle or teacher or prophet who does not first accurately compare his preaching with that of James, who was called the brother of my Lord, and to whom was entrusted to administer the church of the Hebrews in Jerusalem, — and that even though he come to you with witnesses: lest the wickedness which disputed forty days with the Lord, and prevailed nothing, should afterwards, like lightning falling from heaven upon the earth, send a preacher to your injury, as now he has sent Simon upon us, preaching, under pretense of the truth, in the name of the Lord, and sowing error. Wherefore He who hath sent us, said, ‘Many shall come to me in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. By their fruits ye shall know them.’"

Again it is warned by Clement: "Wherefore observe the greatest caution, that you believe no teacher, unless he bring from Jerusalem the testimonial of James the Lord’s brother, or of whosoever may come after him. For no one, unless he has gone up thither, and there has been approved as a fit and faithful teacher for preaching the word of Christ, — unless, I say, he brings a testimonial thence, is by any means to be received. But let neither prophet nor apostle be looked for by you at this time, besides us. For there is one true Prophet, whose words we twelve apostles preach"

As predicted, the ministers of Satan have succeeded in altering the teachings of my brother Yeshua, and continue to lead many into the abyss of darkness. But have no fear my brothers and sisters, for the teachings of TheWay has been restored so that you might be able to overcome the darkness, and enter the Kingdom of Light within you (Luke 17:20-21).
